New Delhi: After winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Indian cricket will embark on a new journey. Following a remarkable journey with Rahul Dravid, it is time for Team India to move ahead. Naturally, the announcement of a new head coach is only a mere formality.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah has made it official that the new head coach will take charge of the team from the Sri Lanka tour scheduled later this month. Now, the million-dollar question is who will be the next head coach? According to rumours Gautam Gambhir is expected to succeed Dravid as the head coach.

The CAC also interviewed a few other candidates for the job including former India women’s coach W V Raman. Shah who is currently in the Caribbean is drowned in the celebrations of the triumph of the Indian team. However, once he returns and takes charge of the administrative processes, the announcement of the new coach will be done shortly.

India tour of Sri Lanka 2024
India will tour the island country for the white ball series which starts on 27th July and will conclude on the 7th of August. The full schedule of the same is as follows:
T20I Series
• 1st T20I – 27th July
• 2nd T20I – 28th July
• 3rd T20I – 30th July
ODI Series
• 1st ODI – 2nd August
• 2nd ODI – 4th August
• 3rd ODI – 7th August
India A Tour of Australia
Apart from the upcoming tours and the announcement of the next head coach, BCCI has also planned some India A tours. These tours will be a great training routine for the entire team. It will also help to increase the squad depth of the side.

The first tour is scheduled to take place down under in Australia. However, the details of the same is not known. Currently, the BCCI secretary and the entire squad are stuck in Barbados due to adverse weather situations. Once the team returns, it is expected the schedule will be announced
