New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer and Indian great Sunil Gavaskar has blasted away the Indian team after analysing the tenure of Gambhir following series losses against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Gavaskar has said that the results speak for themselves and the media hype and noise is just a method to cover up the blatant mediocrity under Gambhir.
Gambhir has been at the helm for less than six months but has already witnessed two series of losses. First, India lost an ODI series in Sri Lanka, in what was Gambhir’s second series in charge. Then, India got whitewashed 3-0 in a home Test series for the first time, by New Zealand. Gavaskar gave his verdict on Gambhir.
