New Delhi: Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir had a heated feud on May 1 as RCB faced LSG in Lucknow. While their behaviour was criticised across the cricket fraternity, former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh came up with a cheeky comment on the incident. He asked the carbonated drink brand Sprite to hire Virat and Gambhir for their advertisement campaign.

Taking on to Twitter, Yuvraj wrote that Sprite should sign ‘Gauti’ and ‘Cheeku’ for their ‘Thand Rakh’ campaign. He even tagged the two cricketers in his tweet.

His tweet earned a lot of hilarious replies. Journalist Pranav Sirohi asked Yuvraj to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for settling this feud while a Twitter user reminded Yuvraj of his clash with English cricketer Andrew Flintoff.

During the game between RCB and LSG, there seemed to be an exchange of words between Kohli and Naveen ul-Haq, who was batting at the moment. Soon LSG’s coach Gambhir entered and seemed to be bursting out at Kohli. Veteran spinner Amit Mishra was seen separating them to calm the situation. The incident took place in the 17th over of the second inning and escalated post-match when Gambhir called back Kyle Mayers, who was talking to Kohli.

Both Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100 percent of their match fees.

The batters also indulged in such an incident 10 years ago when Gambhir used to play for KKR.

The game ended with RCB successfully defending 126 after a collective bowling performance wrapped LSG for the lowest total of this season, 108.
