The assembly elections are the first after the BJP-led government's decision to repeal Article 370. A verdict in its favour will give a boost to the party ahead of the winter session of Parliament next month.
Overall, it seemed tough for the BJP to retain power in Haryana with officials stats stating 30 seats for the party while Congress is at 27, INLD at 1 and JJP at 5.
As per the latest trend, BJP has won four seats in Maharashtra and leading on 99, while Shiv Sena has won three and leading on 56 seats.

Counting of votes for assembly polls in Haryana and Maharashtra began on Thursday morning with the electoral fate of over 4,400 candidates hanging in the balance.
Around 2,987 polling booths were marked as vulnerable, whereas 151 critical polling stations were identified -- the live footage of which was monitored in the control room set up at the headquarters in Chandigarh.
The polls are equally as crucial for the Congress which has faced desertions after its second successive debacle in the Lok Sabha polls. A strong performance will help the party in its process of electoral revival.
