Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom First Teaser is OUT: Know the release date

New Delhi: Jason Momoa returns to the DC Universe in the sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and a teaser for the film was released on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ official Twitter and YouTube channels both posted the first teaser for the film. The full trailer’s release date is also announced in the 30-second teaser.

The full trailer for the movie is featured inside the teaser. The teaser, which reads, “In 4 days, see the trailer,” in the beginning, also features scenes from the upcoming sequel. DC unveiled this first official teaser for the film just a few months before its debut. Also, on September 14, 2023, the trailer will be released. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Black Manta made an appearance in the video, which served as the teaser’s most exciting moment. It seems like the character will play a more significant part in the movie’s plot based on the circumstances leading up to the battle.

DC provides a plot summary for the next film in the video’s description box.

The scheduled release date for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to release on December 20, 2023. The release date and the fact that it was shot in IMAX for a superior viewing experience were both included in the teaser.

Momoa plays the lead role in James Wan’s Aquaman sequel, which also stars Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard, and Nicole Kidman.

James Wan, together with Safran and Rob Cowan, directed and produced the sequel. The screenplay was written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and based on a narrative by Wan, Momoa, and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett.

‘Insidious: The Red Door’: OTT Release, Plot & review (VIDEO)

New Delhi: The Red Door is the fifth and, presumably, last instalment in the ‘Insidious’ film series. As the conclusion of a horror series, this one does a decent job of wrapping up the Lamberts’ journey.

After wrapping in August 2022, the film premiered in theatres on July 7, 2023. The Central Board of Film Certification in India has given Patrick Wilson’s film a U/A censorship rating.

Similar to previous theatrical releases, this film will be available on Netflix. The film has not been given an official release date yet, but it will likely debut on OTT platforms towards the beginning of December.

    Plot

The film follows Josh Lambert’s son Dalton as he prepares for his next chapter as a college student. But as his suppressed demons from the past begin to surface, things become very difficult for him. Josh and Dalton, determined to put a stop to the chaos, decide to go beyond the iconic red door, beyond which lurk horrific terrors.

    Review

Director and franchise star Patrick Wilson does as fantastic a job as we could have imagined with the emotional beats of these troubled characters. However, he is never able to reach the franchise’s potential for horror. Perhaps his familiarity with the character stops him from going to any extremes.

Wilson made his directorial debut with a property he is familiar with, and the tense situation but ultimately loving relationship between the two leads is a smart choice. Some amusing frat party scenes are just two examples of how he uses humour to break up the terror.

Story-wise, the viewers need to have seen the prior two films to understand the stakes and the means of resistance. Entering the climax, our protagonists have just a vague idea of what has to be done and what precisely is torturing them, which undermines the tension. There are some great gross-out moments and creeping scares, but they are generally predictable, and the pacing is rather languid until a sudden rush to the conclusion.

Although it has its share of flaws—after all, every film does—the film is, on the whole, a success.
