Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey pledges $1 billion to combat COVID-19

New Delhi: Twitter Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey on Tuesday pledged $1 billion of his stake in Square Inc, the payments processor that he co-founded and heads, to help fund relief efforts related to the coronavirus pandemic.

This happens to be the largest donation pledged by a private individual in the fight against coronavirus. Jack Dorsey, the CEO of social media giant Twitter and digital payments platform Square on Tuesday said that he will donate $1 billion to charities working towards combatting the global COVID-19 pandemic.
