WhatsApp is now testing a new “view once” option for “voice notes” on iOS & Android

Once a voice note that was sent with this mode enabled was played and then discarded, neither the sender nor the receiver would be able to play it again in future.

New Delhi: A new ‘view once’ option for ‘voice notes’ is apparently being tested by Meta-owned WhatsApp. This mode will let users transmit voice messages to one another that can only be listened to once by the receiver of the message. Users on Android and iOS who are using the beta version of the app may participate in the testing of this feature right now.

Users need to hit the “1” symbol that appears to the right of the voice note waveform while they are recording to activate the “view once” option for voice notes. This mode allows users to see voice notes just once.

Once a voice note that was sent with this mode enabled was played and then discarded, neither the sender nor the receiver would be able to play it again in future.

When it comes to sharing voice notes, users now have more control as well as increased privacy thanks to this new functionality. It is not possible to export, forward, or share voice notes that have been transmitted using the “view once” method with any other users.

In addition, receivers are unable to keep or record these voice notes, which provides the sender with more control over the content as well as increased privacy.

In 2021, WhatsApp added a feature to “View Once” to share media like images and videos.

Meta-owned WhatsApp has recently implemented many new features to facilitate the usage of numerous functions.

WhatsApp has begun providing all Android users with access to a passkey function that eliminates the need for a password. With this improvement, you won’t have to deal with the insecurity and cumbersome nature of two-factor SMS authentication. When resuming use of WhatsApp on an Android device, users may do so safely with only a facial scan, fingerprint, or PIN.

On Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that WhatsApp will allow users to access two accounts at once. Like other social media apps like Instagram and Facebook, this means users will soon be able to manage several accounts on a single device.

Users may switch between their personal and professional WhatsApp accounts without having to log out each time, carrying two phones, or worrying about sending messages from the incorrect account.

Dual-SIM phones are required to set up two WhatsApp accounts, or else a user must have two separate phone numbers.

After you have created your second account, you will be able to switch between accounts by selecting “Account” from the menu that appears when you press the three dots in the upper right corner of the app.

The option to move between accounts is presently going out, but only on Android devices. In the next weeks, users will be able to access the updated version.
