New Delhi: After weeks of speculation, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk have finally acquired Twitter Inc. for $44 billion. This comes after the billionaire recently buying a 9.2% stake in the social media platform earlier this month.

The world’s richest man said that he thinks the microblogging site was not living up to its real potential and had expressed his disappointment in Twitter’s ‘anti-free speech’ policies.

After buying the popular microblogging site, Musk wrote in a tweet, “I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means”.

However, the acquisition of Twitter has erupted numerous questions regarding the working and management of the company under Musk’s leadership, who is already serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Tesla and SpaceX, which naturally makes his involvement in the Twitter Inc. management very limited.

Who will own and run Twitter?

It is pretty obvious that the site is now wholly owned by Musk, as Twitter in the recently concluded deal has agreed to sell itself to an ‘entity’. Though, the question about who will run Twitter twitter still remains. Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal and Chairman Bret Taylor are both performing their respective roles in the company for now. However, Musk is  most likely to make some changes to the roles in the coming days.

How Twitter will run now?

Musk has been quite vocal about most of the social issues including the criticsm of Twitter’s policies. He has openly shared his plans regarding the changes he would like to make on the social media platform including removing ads for paid users and adding to the platform’s authentication checks, and even turning Twitter’s headquarters into a homeless shelter.
