New Delhi: Pakistan is in the grip of its most severe economic crisis, with food scarcity, flash floods, and widespread poverty. Over 7 million workers in Pakistan’s textile sector have already been laid off as the government of Pakistan has failed to resolve the country’s economic crisis. The country’s textile connections have been held responsible for the massive layoffs on the incompetence of the Shehbaz Sharif govt and receding exports.
Once a booming industry, it is currently in the possibility of closure, as several textile units have already closed, with several others making plans to close or shift production overseas.
