New Delhi: After the assistant loco pilot went AWOL, a local train in Bihar was delayed for over an hour. He was subsequently apprehended by the government railway police (GRP), but he was too drunk to return to the train, according to sources familiar with the situation. Alok Agarwal, the divisional railway manager for Samastipur, said he has requested a full report. “After the investigation is completed, action against the railway workers will be taken,” Aggarwal said on Tuesday. The incident occurred on Monday evening, just over an hour after the Samastipur-Saharsa train (No-05278) left Samastipur Junction on its 139-kilometer journey to Saharsa, according to a GRP official.
