New Delhi: Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum has been named as the 25th Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) by replacing Lt General Faiz Hameed.
Lt General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum was serving as the Corp Commander Karachi prior to be the new ISI Chief.
As per reports, there are many more other changes has been done in other positions. Lt General Muhammad Saeed has been posted as the Corps Commander Karachi and Lt General Noman Mahmood has been posted as the President National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad.
Who is Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum?
Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum was posted as the Corp Commander Karachi prior to be the new ISI Chief. Nadeem belongs to the Punjab Regiment of the Pakistan Army.
He as also served as the commandant of Command and Staff College Quetta.
Lt Gen Nadeem is battle-hardened soldier who has commanded the Frontier Corps Balochistan as an Inspector General Of Frontier Corps. He has led many successful anti-terrorism operations and has earned the title of ‘Mohsin e Balochistan’ for his services to eradicate terrorism.
As per a report, Lt General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum’s subordinates call him the “man with glacier brain but sharp reflexes”.
