New Delhi: New Year’s Eve witnessed a lot of partying and people visiting picturesque places to celebrate. People ordered a lot of food while many went out for dining, food was surely the highlight of the eve. Following this, a restaurateur shared a restaurant bill in Dubai which showed a huge amount of Dhs 6,20,926.61 (about Rs 1,39,67,807).
A GAL restaurant in Downtown, Dubai presented a huge bill to the table with 18 guests, and the owner of the restaurant, Merk Turkmen posted a picture of the bill on his social media account. While sharing the picture, he captioned it, “Not first, not last,” and tagged the restaurant.
The bill shows that they ordered beverages like apple juice, latte, green tea, and Coca-Cola and then went on to have some drinks and cocktails. While people were making their last-minute restaurant bookings in the area on December 31, it was the bookings for them that cost them much.
GAL Dubai is a restaurant for contemporary Mediterranean-Turkish cuisine and also offers a view of the Burj Khalifa. It is a brand of the QFoodBeverage Group. Merk Turkmen also owns a private cigar lounge, Rain, which is under the brand of GAL and is going to launch SEAGAL.
Similarly, Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Abu Dhabi also witnessed a whopping bill of Dhs 615,065. Nusret Gokce, the owner and chef of the restaurant shared the picture of the bill on his verified Instagram account. UAE has definitely witnessed people partying hard as they welcomed the New Year.
