Pakistan: Imran Khan injured during firing at his convoy in Wazirabad

New Delhi: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan got injured during firing on his convoy in Wazirabad on Thursday. When the incident happened the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was at Zafar Ali Khan chowk in Wazirabad and travelling in an open-top vehicle.

Khan was shot in his leg in a firing, according to the media reports.

Expect Khan, four others are also said to get injured in the incident. After the incident, Khan was transferred to a bulletproof vehicle to admit him to a hospital.

Soon after the incident, Khan’s party PTI called him red line on Twitter. ”Imran Khan is our red line – today he is red
Tried!,” tweeted Imran Khan.

The PTI president of Lahore said on Twitter that all workers and people will protest in the square immediately against the attack on liberty.

PTI also tweeted a video of PTI member Faisal Javed Khan who received injuries in the incident. In the video, Faisal said a person also lost his life in the firing.

In his address after the shooting at Imran Khan’s convoy, senior party leader Fawad Chaudhry said, we will avenge the attack on Imran Khan. He added that it is an attack on Pakistan not only on Imran Khan.

”We want peace not guns and murder,” Fawad Chaudhary.
