New Delhi: In an international embarrassment for Pakistan, its finance minister Ishaq Dar was heckled & abused by an unidentified man at the US airport. Pak Finance Minister had reached US on Thursday to attend annual meet of the International Monetary Fund & World Bank.

In the video, Ishaq Dar is walking out of the airport while a person not in the frame starts argument with him. While the Finance Minister was escorted by the Pakistani officials, the man keeps shouting in the background, ‘You are a liar, you are a chor’.

This prompted one of the officials to intervene and shout back at the person. He also hurls expletives at the person and could be heard saying, “You don’t know me. Don’t f**king try to be a smart ass.”

The official was identified as Mani Butt, President of PML-N’s Virginia chapter, according to a report published by Pakistan’s daily Dawn.

The video is getting huge attention on social media and people are sharing memes over Pakistan’s falling fortunes not just economically but also diplomatically.

Not the first case of humiliation

This is not the first case of Pakistan minister getting red faced at foreign soil. Earlier, Pakistan Information Minister Marriyum Aurgangzeb was heckled in a London coffee shop by alleged supporters of former Pak PM Irman Khan.

The protesters gheroaed her and shouted ‘Chorni, Chorni’ slogans. Pak minister kept her composure despite slogan-shouting and also drew praise from netizens, when she herself shared the video from her Twitter account.

Pak Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also had to face a difficult situation in Saudi Arabia, when he visited the Arab nation for the first time. People raised slogans of thief against him when he reached Masjid-e-Nawabi in Medina. After the incident, several arrests were made.
