Hyundai revealed the Ioniq 5 at an event recently and the bookings for the new electric car are open now. Customers can place their orders for this EV with a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. In India, Hyundai Ioniq 5 will come with a large battery pack with an ARAI-certified range of 631 km. The model also supports 800V fast charging, which allows the battery to go from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.

MG announced the Hector facelift in India which is expected to be unveiled on 9 January 2023. The new Hector will be mechanically identical to the previous one and will have the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, 2.0-litre diesel, and 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrains. The price of the new MG Hector is expected to begin at Rs 18-20 lakhs (ex-showroom).
3. Mahindra Thar 2WD

Mahindra is to launch the entry-level 2WD version of the Thar. The new Thar 4×2 will offer two engine options, including a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit producing 150 BHP and 320 Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel producing 117 BHP and 300 Nm. The brochure of Mahindra Thar 2WD was leaked online and it revealed that the car will be offered in three new colours, Everest White, Blazing Bronze and Aquamarine.
4. BMW X1
Some dealers in the country have started the bookings for BMW X1 and customers can book the car for an amount of Rs 50,000. The new model is expected to be launched on January 28 at the third BMW Joytown festival in Bengaluru. The top model for BMW X1 is expected to cost around Rs 43 lakhs. The car will compete in the SAV category and also has a Panorama glass roof.

Mercedes-Benz is launching AMG E53 Cabriolet on January 6. The car is expected to use a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech. AMG E53 Cabriolet is expected to be priced at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom), which is Rs 26 lakh costlier than the sedan. The car has 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, with a classy interior.
