New Delhi: Here is the universally applicable question: The debate over whether to drive an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) car versus a manual one over safety concerns is once again raging on the internet. An image of a guy being crushed by what many assume to be an autonomous car that he was repairing went viral on Twitter. According to the footage, the automobile broke down, and the man got out to stand in front of it and open the hood. He returned to his seat to make some adjustments next to the steering wheel. He went back to the bonnet area to continue resolving the problem when the car accelerated and smashed him against a shutter. The tweet that accompanied the video stated, “Never stand in front of an automatic vehicle that is having trouble. Please alert your family and friends. Give this message as an illustration. ”

Because of this film, many internet users are now unsure whether they should get a manual or automatic car. “Seems manual automobiles are safer by all means,” a Twitter user noted. Some people asserted that the vehicle seemed to be a manual transmission left in first gear. “This vehicle is an MT, not an AT. A lot of people park their MT cars in first gear without using the handbrake. He tried to start the automobile, but had forgotten that it was in gear.
One of the users gave a personal story, saying, “It may be really frightening when an automatic vehicle begins even with the breaks applied. I’ve dealt with it. ”
According to one user, the driver ought to have abandoned the car in parking gear: “Leave an automatic vehicle in park at all times. In an effort to jumpstart the vehicle, An automated vehicle should not start if the park gear is engaged. The ignition mechanism of the car must be malfunctioning in some way. “
