New Delhi: On the occasion of Dhanteras on October 22, the Indian Railways cancelled a total of 87 trains completely and nearly 22 trains partially on Saturday. The cancellation of trains is expected to cause hefty inconveniences as a vast section of people are returning home ahead of Diwali. The cancelled trains include many running from various major cities such as Nagpur, Pune, Pathankot, Satara, and more.
Passengers who made the reservations for the cancelled trains via the official website of IRCTC will have their tickets cancelled and the total price of it refunded into their source accounts. Those who had bought the tickets from the booking counters will have to physically visit the station in order to get their refund back.

Passengers whose trains have not been cancelled are also advised to check schedule, route, departure and arrival time for convenient travel.
