New Delhi: Premium SUV company Jeep India has launched Meridian X and Meridian Upland Special Editions for the year 2023. The models, which will have limited manufacturing, come with styling enhancements and equipment upgrades. Silvery Moon and Galaxy Blue are the two new colours available on these special edition models.

With Meridian X, the company claims to have enhanced the ‘sophistication’. This limited-edition model is created with a specific lifestyle focus and has a grey roof, puddle lamps, ambient lighting and alloy wheels with grey pockets among a few of the enhancements.
Meridian Upland is more of an adventure SUV with a roof carrier, splash guards, side steps, boot organizer, cargo mats and a tire inflator. Buyers can also have an 11.6-inch Wi-Fi-enabled screen for entertainment during travel.
Some unchanged features include the 2.0-litre diesel engine that comes with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The SUV can reach a top speed of 198 kmph and takes 10.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 kmph as claimed by the company.

Nipun J Mahajan, Head of Jeep brand India, said at the launch that Jeep Meridian highlights the duality of the SUV in its styling. He added that the new Special Editions add a ‘distinctive look’ and the additional equipment makes them unique and appealing to a wider customer base.

The ex-showroom price for Meridian starts from Rs 30.10 lakhs while the special edition models range from Rs 33.41 lakh to Rs 38.47 lakh ex-showroom, depending upon the enhancements and accessories.
