New Delhi: Days after the great success of the launch of its SUV Scorpio N and XUV 700, the Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra seems like its set to create a stir in the EV space as well.
At a mega event in London, the company unveiled its brand new e-vehicle venture in form of 5 bold SUV cars.
Business tycoon and chairman of the firm, Anand Mahindra said that the current time seems reasonable enough to enter the automobile market with their battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
He further said that with the support of the government, low ownership cost, and consumers concerned over environmental and energy issues, “we believe that the time is ripe and right for us to enter the four-wheeler market with our range of battery electric vehicles”.

The soon-to-be-launched electric SUVs will be introduced with the XUV-e pattern, with their names to be XUV-e1, XUV-e2, XUV-e3, XUV-e5, XUV-e6, XUV-e7, XUV-e8.
If reports are to be believed, the company will bring its XUV.e range to the market first, with XUV.e8 expected to arrive in 2024. On the other hand, the first car of the BE series will make its way to the global markets till the year 2025.
What is BE range?
As per the information shared by the company, these cars will fall in the category of sports electric vehicle i.e. SEV. The company will present the SUVs with a luxurious touch along with giagnatic front body and bold headlights.
The signature large airdam is expected to get a crucial air-duct on the bonnet with vivid cuts and creases.
