Mahindra Scorpio-N: 5 expected specifications to know before launch

With AdrenoX linked technology, the car is donned with  dual-tone alloy wheels, electric sunroof, dual-zone temperature control, and more

New Delhi: The much speculated Mahindra Scorpio-N is set to mark its modified arrival in a special launch event on Monday from 5:30 pm onwards.

The much-hyped SUV model was announced by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited bearing the codename Z101.

The automobile firm says that this “Big, Bold and Authentic SUV will bolster its reputation as the #BigDaddyOfSUVs”.

The company in an official statement says, “The All-New Scorpio-N will redefine the D-segment SUV category and has been engineered ground-up to meet the aspirations of the young and tech-savvy customers looking for an authentic full-size SUV. Tough yet sophisticated, the All-New Scorpio-N is a head-turner with a bold and imposing design and commanding driving position.”

Before the launch event goes live this evening, here are 5 things to keep a note of:

1. Fuel Variant: The SUV model will be available in diesel type only, though customers can opt between manual and automatic gearboxes. Further, the four-wheel drive comes with both manual and auto transmission mode.

2. Engine: Mahindra’s new Scorpio comes with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine. Significantly, the previous models will also be available under the tag name ‘Mahindra Scorpio Classic’.

3. Additional features: With AdrenoX linked vehicle technology, the car is donned with  dual-tone alloy wheels, electric sunroof, dual-zone temperature control, and expectedly a revised instrument panel.

4. Seat Arrangement: As per the official pictures released by the auto giant prior to the launch of SUV, Scorpio-N will arrive in five different variant including – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L. One can opt between 6 seat and 7 seat arrangements in all the available variants.

5. Design: The latest SUV will come in dual tone leatherette seats and black and brown colours combo for cabin. The temperature control unit is somewhat similar to that of Thar.
