Tata Motors to launch Punch EV soon, check features, price and other details

Punch EV is expected to be launched soon and according to some reports, it might be on display at the Auto Expo 2023.

New Delhi: Tata Motors is one of the leading electric vehicle producers in India and the company is coming up with an all-new electric car, Punch EV. With Tiago EV and Nexon EV Max, Tata has made its mark in the market with EVs in different price ranges. Punch EV is expected to be launched soon and according to some reports, it might be on display at the Auto Expo 2023. This car will mark the fourth EV model by Tata Motors.

Punch EV

Punch EV is expected to be somewhere in between Tiago and Nexon Prime EVs. It may have the two battery pack options like some other Tata EVs and will offer ranges of around 300 to 350 km. It will be Tata’s first EV based on its latest ALFA platform, which is designed to suit multiple body styles and electric and hybrid powertrains. Notably, Altroz uses the ALFA platform.

Features

Punch EV is expected to have a semi-digital instrument cluster, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, automatic climate control, auto-folding ORVMs, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD, like the ICE-powered version. It might also include multi-mode regenerative braking and leather upholstery.

The ICE Punch ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.54 lakh (ex-showroom), so the Punch EV is expected to have a starting price of around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors at Auto Expo 2023

Tata Motors might showcase the Harrier facelift and Safari facelift along with EVs Avinya and Curvv. The company is likely to showcase the production version of Punch and Altroz EVs.
