New Delhi: Tata Motors launched Tiago EV, the first EV in the country priced under Rs 10 lakh on Wednesday. The vehicle has been launched at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which goes up to Rs 11.79 lakh for the top variant.
The launch has led to a hyped-up comparison of the car with Tata’s previous EV vehicle Tigor EV which ranges in price from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 13.64 lakh (ex-showroom).

Price difference
The top variant of the Tata Tiago EV happens to be cheaper than the base variant of the Tata Tigor EV with a difference of nearly Rs 70,000. Additionally, there is a difference of Rs 4 lakh between the base variant of Tata Tigor EV and the base variant of Tata Tiago EV.
Before the automaker unveiled the Tata Tiago EV, Tigor was company’s cheapest electric car in the market.
