Cryptocurrency news today: Bitcoin, Ethereum plunge with Cardano on rise

On Sunday morning, Bitcoin was trading at $41,867.79 with a dominance of 42.18%, marking an increase of 0.05%.

New Delhi: The global cryptocurrency market capitalisation surged 0.16% to stand at $1.88 trillion over the last 24 hours, while the trading volumes fell 14.95% to $82.43 billion over the same period of time.

Currently, the total volume in DeFi is $14.37 billion, registering 17.43% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. The volume of stablecoins is now $68.30 billion which is 82.86% of the total cryptocurrency market’s 24-hour volume.

On Sunday morning, Bitcoin was trading at $41,867.79 with a dominance of 42.18%, marking an increase of 0.05%. In terms of rupees, Bitcoin plunged 0.02% to trade at Rs 32,40,111 while Ethereum fell 1.64% to Rs 2,26,706.8.

Apart from all these, other major cryptocurrencies including Cardano were up by 1.63% to trade at Rs 68.80, while Avalanche rose by 1.22% to Rs 6,876.08. Over the last 24 hours, Polkadot fell by 0.03% to Rs 1,488.75 and Litecoin surged by 3.94% to trade at Rs 9,003.21. On the other hand, Tether plunged 0.41% to Rs 77.59.

Memecoins like Dogecoin rose 2.88% to trade at Rs 9.538 while Terra (LUNA) increased 3.35% to Rs 7,100. Algorand (ALGO) rose 0.2% to Rs 59.36.

Meanwhile, blockchain gaming platform namely C2X raised $25 million in a private token sale that consisted of purchases from FTX Ventures, Jump Crypto, and Animoca Brands, informed its parent company, MetaMagnet.

Besides, the investment values the platform at $500 million. According to C2X, it has plans to launch its own publicly traded token by the same name. However, no date of release has been confirmed.
