Most of the cryptocurrencies are trading in the green on Sunday. The global cryptocurrency market capitalisation witnessed a rise of 0.81% to stand at $2.23 trillion over the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the total trading volume suffered substantially by 25.65% to $66.83 billion.
DeFi accounted for 21.93% of the trading volume at $14.66 billion, whereas stablecoins resulted for 74.78% at $49.98 billion. Bitcoin’s market dominance decreased from 0.18% to 39.19% on Sunday morning. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $46,891.16.
Under the major cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin gained 1.68% to trade at Rs 37,86,507 and Ethereum rose 0.86% to Rs 3,00,000. Cardano also increased by 3.1% and Avalanche increased by 4.1% to reach Rs 109.37 and Rs 9,199 respectively. Over the last 24 hours, Polkadot rose by 5.22% to Rs 2,272.19 and Litecoin increased 1.96% at Rs 11,943.07. Meanwhile, Tether fell by 0.54% to trade at Rs 79.54.
Memecoins such as SHIB rose by 0.67% while Dogecoin decreased by 0.82% to trade at Rs 13.79. LUNA gained around 5.21% to Rs 7,268.21.
According to CoinMarketCap, over the last year, Shiba Inu acquired over 188 million views.
Besides, Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency garnered 145 million views, standing at the second position over the last 12 months. Bitcoin was followed by Cardano and Ethereum at the fourth and fifth position with 86 million and 81 million views respectively.
The Goods and Service Tax (GST) department has recovered Rs 49.20 crore cash in association with GST evasion by WazirX, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in India. Initially, the department called out WazirX for GST evasion worth Rs 40.5 crore.
