‘Museum of War’: Ukraine launched NFT collection to aid the army amidst Russia’s invasion

New Delhi: The Vice President of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov took to Twitter on March 25 to announce the launch of the NFT collection ‘Meta History: Museum of War.’ Reportedly, the sales made from the Museum of War NFT would directly go to the official crypto wallet of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in order to provide help to the Ukrainian forces and civilians affected and trapped in the war-torn country.

On the website of the NFT collection, certain purposes are enlisted. They are:

  • With the help of the NFT collection, the government aims to memorialise the actual chronological events of the invasion period.
  • It would help in providing correct information throughout the digital community and in the world.
  • Donations in support of Ukraine can be collected through this means.
  • The website calls NFTs in the collection of facts accompanied by personal reflections.
  • The website ensures a 100% secure deal with the help of smart contracts.
  • Besides, NFTs will be sold over the ethereum blockchain.

According to the report by Forbes, the first sale will be collected by a Ukrainian start-up named Fairxyz.com and will feature 5,000 to 7,000 NFTs at the price of around $450 each. Besides, the sale is expected to generate up to $3 million.
