Recession impact on India to be zero, says latest economists survey report

China which always claims to be the superpower among the major global economies has a 20% chance to go into recession, according to the survey. 

New Delhi: Amid the rising inflammation in India, the latest Bloomberg survey of economists forecasted the risk of recession in some Asian economies such as India, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand. The survey revealed that the percentage of recession in India is Zero while Sri Linka topped the recession chart with 85% of the risk.

The percentage shown in the survey predicted that Sri Lanka may fall into recession in the next year, followed by New Zealand (33%), South Korea (25%), and Japan (25%).

Economists also see a 20% chance that Pakistan will enter a recession. The survey also placed Hong Kong, Australia, and Taiwan in 20% of the categories, including China and Pakistan.

The survey also said Malaysia has a 13% chance to face recession followed by Vietnam (10%), Thailand (10%), and the Philippines (8%).

Indonesia is the second last country, having a chance of 3% to go into recession. However, the experts say Asia’s risk of recession is about 20 to 25% in general.
