New Delhi: The Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals and an investor at Shark Tank India, Namita Thapar got into a strange situation after her Instagram bio was changed and an unexpected post was put on her social media handle. Thapar tweeted to apologise and clear that it was not her but a househelp who stole her phone.
Namita’s Instagram bio showed, “Sh**ty mother, sh**tier wife” while a story about her not being a good mother was put out on her account. The social media story said that it was Namita’s son writing it and she is not the person everyone watches on television.
Meanwhile, Namita put out a tweet to clear the air and wrote that hate makes people toxic and it was an ‘educated househelp’ who has been removed, who stole her mobile phone and put out the ‘hateful post’ on her behalf. She added that this is the price she has to pay for being a public figure. Sharing the tweet on her Instagram story, she informed her followers that her phone has been recovered.
This is what hate does to this world, makes people toxic. An educated house help who was removed stole my phone & put a hateful post on me on social media. Price of being a public figure ! Apologies !

On the other hand, netizens were not ready to believe her story and called her out for blaming the househelp. There were others who question how did the househelp get the password to her phone.
Namita Thapar is currently seen in Shark Tank India Season 2 along with Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal and Amit Jain. The show is streaming on Sony LIV while the audience can catch up on the telecast on Sony TV.
