New Delhi: President Ramnath Kovind on Friday appointed AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal as the chief minister of Delhi.
According to an official notification, President has also appointed six MLAs as ministers in Delhi govt, on the advice of the chief minister.
Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Adami Party had stormed back to power in the national capital after winning 62 out of 70 seats in Delhi Assembly elections 2020.

“The President has been pleased to appoint Shri Arvind Kejriwal to be the Chief Minister, National Capital Territory of Delhi with effect from the date he is sworn in,” the notification said.
The six ministers who will take oath along with Kejriwal on February 16 are: Manish Sisodia, Satyender Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Rajendra Gautam.
Arvind Kejriwal will take oath as the chief minister at Ramlila ground in Delhi’s Daryaganj on Sunday.
Kejriwal invites PM Modi for oath ceremony
Delhi Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend his oath-taking ceremony on February 16.
On Wednesday, senior party leader Manish Sisodia had also invited all to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
“Delhi’s son Arvind Kejriwal and the new government under his leadership will take oath on February 16 at Ramlila Maidan. I appeal to all of you to reach there by 10 am to bless your son and encourage him,” he had tweeted.
