‘Sanghi who never went to a Shakha’ by Rahul Roushan winning accolades from all quarters

Rahul Roushan book

New Delhi: ‘Sanghi who never went to a Shaka’ – the much awaited book by journalist Rahul Roushan is winning rave reviews. It is receiving wide appreciation and admiration from all quarters, including those from the political and film fraternity.

The book encapsulates the story of transition of an individual from a ‘liberal’ to a ‘Sanghi’ who never visited a shakha. Earlier, Rahul Roushan would squirm at being called a sanghi but today, he likes to wear up on his sleeve. In fact, the first time Rahul Roushan was called a Sanghi, he felt deeply offended.

The book is the story of an individual’s transition from a liberal to a hardcore Sanghi and with justifiable reasons. This book is bound to find connect with thousands of countrymen who faced similar predicaments at some point in their lives.

Netizens full of praise for Roushan’s book

Sanghi literally means someone who is a member of the right-wing RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) or its affiliates, but the ‘liberals’ use the term liberally to deride those who differ with their political and ideological stand, or those who wear Hinduism on their sleeves. This book analyses why a country that was ruled for decades by people espousing Nehruvian secularism suddenly began to align with the ‘communal politics’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)?

Rahul Roushan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Patna University, a post-graduate diploma in journalism from IIMC in New Delhi, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and was a self-made media entrepreneur.
