New Delhi: Angga Dwimas Sasongko’s creative and suspenseful action film 13 Bombs (or 13 Bombs in Jakarta) is based on the largest financial scam in Indonesian history and centres on the dangers and potential benefits of digital currency. Three perspectives are interwoven throughout the story: that of the bureau, the businesspeople, and the militants. Plot
Based on the largest financial scam in Indonesian history, 13 Bombs is a tight, intelligent action thriller by Angga Dwimas Sasongko that explores the dangers and potential benefits of digital money. There are thirteen explosives planted across Jakarta, and a government agency is racing against the clock to find and detain the plotter before the city explodes into anarchy.
The terrorists in the film are plotting a string of explosions in Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta. Destroying the city and killing a lot of people are the goals of the 13 bombings. After receiving information about the bomb plan, the Indonesian Counter Terrorism Agency quickly assembled a team of undercover operatives. Emil, a seasoned intelligence operative, leads the squad in swift action to avert the catastrophic assaults. Still, every eight hours, the terrorist group’s commander Arok detonates a new bomb, spreading fear over the world.
The movie shows how intellect and force must be balanced in any security operation by alternating fast-paced action sequences in cities, industries, and high-rise residences with intense cybernetic sleuthing scenes. Oscar, William, and Agnes provide the charming dynamic that propels 13 Bombs, a sleek actioner that is very contemporary.
