With the third wave of Covid-19 lashing in India, restrictions have already been placed in several parts of the country. People are preferably opting to stay at home to be on the safer side. OTT platforms have witnessed immense gain during the lockdown with several shows and movies streaming on them. People chose to have taken watch shows, movies, and web series as one of the options for recreations, and directors and producers are leaving no stones unturned for them. This year too, various OTT platforms will cater to us with different movies and series. Let’s have a look at them:
Looop Lapeta – Netflix
The movie revolves around a woman named Savi (Taapsee Pannu) who desperately tries to save her boyfriend, Satya (Tahir Raj Bhasin) by acquiring a hefty amount of money within a short time period. While she tries to run on her plan of action, the narrative takes a turn based on the possible choices she could have made, depicting multiple outcomes of the same situation. The movie is an official remake of the 1998 German film, Run Lola Run. The movie will premiere on February 4.
Asur Season 2 – Voot Select
Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti starrer psychological thriller, Asur, is preparing itself for the second season this year. Although the date hasn’t been finalized by the makers, the web-series will continue from the cliffhanger it set in Varanasi.
Bulbul Tarang – Netflix
Sonakshi Sinha will be playing the role of a playful Bulbul who dreams to see her groom-to-be (Tahir Raj Bhasin) ride a horse to her wedding. However, the classist people of the society won’t allow that to happen. Unable to accept this, she sets out to challenge the conservative ideologies of her village elders. The date has not been revealed by the makers.
Chakda ‘Xpress – Netflix
The movie will focus on the biopic of the Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The movie will focus on the grandious journey of one of the fastest female pacers in the history of world cricket. The story also touches on the challenges she suffers due to misogynistic politics. The date has not been revealed yet.
Finding Anamika – Netflix
This movie will make the OTT debut of Madhuri Dixit Nene. She will be playing the role of Anamika, a global celebrity, wife, and mother who disappears without a trace. An investigation will follow that will allow digging of the answers.
