New Delhi: Till late 2010s, the major plot of any Bollywood flick has mostly revolved around romance brewing in college campuses or in our surroundings. College romances have always been a runaway hit among the audience as the innocence of fresh pairing makes for a breathtaking watch. Best college romance dramas on OTT 1) Indori Ishq – MX Player This web-series reflects a typical Bollywood romantic drama, in which a guy falls in love with girl but when dejected or ignored, he turns alcoholic. Indori Ishq is a similar series featuring Vedika Bhandari, Ritvik Sahore, and Aashay Kulkarni in the lead. It has captured the fledgling romance between a young boy & girl named Tara, however, it’s always remained one-sided affair as the latter didn’t accept his advances. The Class 12th boy woos his classmate Tara but the latter falls for another guy, following which Kunal takes to alcohol. 2) College Romance – Sony Liv This web series is about a group of three college friends – Karan, Trippy & Niara and their escapades & adventures during college life. Three seasons of the series have already released & shown abundant love by the audience. 3) Kota Factory – Netflix Kota Factory has captured the struggles & travails of students who land up in the city to prepare for competitive exams – IIT-JEE and NEET. The series started streaming on YouTube but after it found strong connect with audience, Netflix seized the opportunity and slated the release of 2nd season on its own platform. Reports suggest that 3rd season is in progress & will release soon. 4) School Days The School Days web series is about romance taking shape in school. The series plot revolves around two boys falling in love with a girl and then how the complex equation rolls out. The web series makes for a compelling watch as it has enough of bumpy rides & not just a plain movie. 5) Flames – MX Player As the name suggest, Flames portrays the brimming romance between a couple as they study together. Flames is a hit word among the youngsters and is often used to calculate probability of young couples. The web series starring Ritvik & Tanvi in the lead roles, brings their story on the silver screen as they fall in love while studying at a tution centre in Delhi. The series drew enough love from the audience.
