Mithali Raj is a world-renowned cricketer in women’s cricket and her story has been presented to the audience by Srijit Mukherji. Taapsee Pannu is seen portraying the role of the cricketer.

The global star, Priyanka Chopra played the role of Mary Kom, however, the movie was criticised for not having an actor of Manipur descent in Mary Kom’s role. The movie features the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, portraying the role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film narrates the cricket journey of the Jharkhand man to become one of the leading cricketers in Indian history.
