OTT streaming services have exploded in popularity over the last few years, as more and more people have started to watch these contents. Hotstar, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Zee5, and many more streaming services deliver content across a wide range of genres for users to pick from.

1. Athidhi (September 19)

The OTT series Athidhi, created by Praveen Sattaru, tells a narrative that takes place over the course of a single night and is unlike anything else out there. In this series, played by Venu Thottempudi and Avantika Mishra, the loner’s existence is turned upside down when some unwelcome visitors show up at his door.

In this romantic comedy, when Mira Ray’s fiance dies, she messages his old cellphone number, thinking it still belongs to him, but it really belongs to Rob Burns, a journalist. Rob is attracted by her frankness and the beauty of her writings. In order to see Mira in person and win her love, he uses the opportunity to write a feature on the famous Celine Dion.

3. Sex Education Season 4 (September 21)

Sex Education, a coming-of-age show that is both humorously provocative and educative, will return for a fourth season that will go even further into the difficult emotional storylines. In the final season, Otis and Eric attend a new school after Moordale Secondary is closed, while Maeve continues to pursue her American dream in another country.

4. Jaane Jaan (September 21)

Sujoy Ghosh’s adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s The Devotion of Suspect X (Japan) stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in her first OTT role. Maya D’Souza, the character she portrays, is a single mother in Kalimpong who finds herself in a difficult position when her violent ex-husband suddenly returns. The narrative develops as Maya enlists the aid of her neighbour to cover up the death of her ex-spouse while a Mumbai detective searches for him.

5. The Continental: From the World of John Wick (September 22)

The Continental is a three-part series starring Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, and others from the world of John Wick. Set in 1970s New York City, this John Wick prequel spin-off explains how The Continental came to be an important part of the John Wick canon. Young Winston Scott’s rise to become the owner of the New York outpost of the infamous hotel-for-assassins is chronicled.
