New Delhi: Kannada film ‘777 Charlie’ received a lot of love from the audiences in theatres. The film is now set to release on the over-the-top (OTT) platform in July. ‘777 Charlie’ managed to earn around Rs 100 crore at the box office.
The film revolves around Dharma, played by Rakshit Shetty, being stuck in a rut with his negative and lonely lifestyle and spending each day in the comfort of his loneliness. A dog named Charlie enters his life and gives him a new perspective on it. The film is written and directed by Kiranraj K and stars Rakshit Shetty, Sangeetha Sringeri along with Charlie, the labrador.
The music in the film is composed by Nobin Paul, who is popular for the original score in ‘Rama Rama Re’. The film is produced by G.S. Guptha and Kannada star Rakshit Shetty himself.
When and where to watch on OTT?
The film will stream on Voot Select from July 29 onwards. The film was released in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in theatres, and is expected to release in all five languages on OTT as well.
Releasing in cinemas on June 10, the film got an overwhelming response from the audience and a lot of praise was showered for the four-legged protagonist Charlie. In Mangalore city, Karnataka, police hired a sniffer dog and hosted a special ceremony to name the female dog Charlie. The film is influential and the filmmakers also asked people to adopt pets and work for animal welfare.
Fans are happy with the OTT release of the film as the adventure comedy-drama will now get a larger shelf life on Voot.
