‘Aap ko tv mein kaam nhi… aap ki image itni gandi horakhi hai’: How casting director bashed her talent because of her dressing

Reportedly, Farah kept telling Urfi that people are making fun of the latter and that’s why she needs to change.

New Delhi: Bigg Boss OTT fame Urfi Javed and fashion designer Farah Ali Khan got engaged in a war of words and it seems to be far beyond getting over. The duo got into a verbal fight after Farah made some tasteless comments on social media about Urfi’s fashion choice. After slamming Farah for her illicit remarks, Urfi spoke to a leading news portal, ETimes TV, and shared her thoughts on the entire episode and how the industry is biased.

In the latest incident, some paparazzi page uploaded a video of her where Farah started “slut-shaming” her. During the interview, she stated that “I don’t care about random people but this coming from Farah Khan Ali or someone with a known face or someone who’s doing these things herself as well, is not acceptable.” She added, “You also wear bikinis and you post it on social media platform where the entire public is watching you what about that. The hypocrisy is what really bothers me. My sh*t is sh*t and your sh*t is gold.”

Reportedly, Farah kept telling Urfi that people are making fun of the latter and that’s why she needs to change. Urfi referred to how people made fun of Suhana Khan and Nysa Devgn’s skin colour, and as these people are close to her, she questioned whether she would ask them to change their skin tone. She also referred to how people made fun of Ananya Pandey’s birthday outfit, but nobody had the guts to tell her publicly to change her clothes.

She stated, “As she said that she was concerned she could have personally written to me. You don’t show concern by publicly slut-shaming someone.” She added, “You could have called me personally and told me how talented I am and my talent is going waste. Why didn’t you tell your relatives or producer friends to give me a movie and use my talent. She changed her narrative from slut-shaming to concern.”

While referring to this incident, she recalled how a casting director recently told her that it will be so difficult to get work, especially on television because her image is so bad. Quoting the casting director, she said, “Aap ko television mein toh ab kaam nahi milega aap ki image itni gandi horakhi hai.”
