New Delhi: Sachin Shroff has replaced Shailesh Lodha as Taarak Mehta, who is the titular character of the show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’. After all the drama and speculation after Shailesh’s exit, the makers have found a new ‘fire brigade’ for Jethalal. Producer Asit Kumarr Modi revealed that Shroff has replaced Lodha and has begun shooting also.
While talking to AajTak.in, Modi told that they tried a lot to find a middle ground with Shailesh but he left the show. Now, he does not want to keep the viewers waiting so he decided to bring someone on the show. “I wish to God that even Sachin receives the same love from the audience,” Asit Kumarr Modi added. He also talked about having ups and downs in this 15-year-long journey. The producer believes that the audience is their priority and they have a team of good writers and direction, so he is hoping that people will accept Sachin in the role of Taarak Mehta.
Sachin Shroff has been part of the television industry for more than 15 years. He has starred in many popular shows like ‘Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka’, ‘Tumhari Paakhi’, ‘Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai’ and more. Experimenting with digital content, Shroff was last seen in ‘Aashram Season 3’ which is streaming on MX Player.
Meanwhile, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ has seen various exist and replacements, the most popular one being the exit of Disha Vakani, who played Daya Gada and became a household name. The light-hearted comedy show is still running and stars Dilip Joshi, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, Tanuj Mahashabde, Munmun Dutta and others.
