Abhishek Bachchan attends his ‘guru’ Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan’s concert, pens heartfelt note

Abhishek and Aaradhya also shared pictures from the event, where they can be seen posing with Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan and his family, both on and off the stage.

New Delhi: Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, along with their daughter Aaradhya attended a live performance by sarod maestro Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan, his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash. The concert was held in Mumbai and also featured Ustaad’s grandsons Zohaan and Abeer. The event was special as Abhishek was once a student of Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan.

The Bachchan family joined the sarod players on stage and felicitated them with flower bouquets. Abhishek and Aaradhya also shared pictures from the event, where they can be seen posing with Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan and his family, both on and off the stage.

Sharing the pictures, Abhishek wrote that it was ‘an absolute joy and honour’ to witness Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan and also referred to Amaan and Ayaan as his brothers. He added that he was happy to listen to Zohaan and Abeer, who are carrying forward the family tradition.

The actor also wrote that he used to learn sarod under ‘Guru Amjad uncle’ along with his sons Amaan and Ayaan. He added that he could not continue as he moved to the boarding school and that is still a ‘slight sore point’ with Ustaad Amjad. Abhishek wrote that witnessing Amaan and Ayaan grow to be ‘wonderful students and children to their parents’ was wonderful and the future of Indian classical music is in safe hands.

Ayaan Ali Bangash also shared pictures from the concert and thanked everyone for their love and blessings. The Three Generations One Nation Concert was held at Jamshed Bhabha Theatre in Mumbai.
