Adipurush box office collection Day 3: Despite negative reviews, Prabhas’ film had a great weekend

New Delhi: Adipurush, Prabhas’ highly awaited film, is doing well in theatres. The film made more than Rs 300 crore in its opening weekend and is still performing well at the box office. The film performed exceptionally well in theatres on Sunday, June 18, grossing roughly Rs 64 crore in India. This Monday, June 19, is crucial for Adipurush, and it remains to be seen whether the film can hold its own over the week.

Adipurush has earned more over Rs 240 crore in just two days since its launch. The film has also been chastised for its language and VFX.

Adipurush had another strong weekend at the box office on June 18. According to preliminary trade estimates, the film has earned over Rs 64 crore at the domestic box office. This brings the opening weekend total to more than Rs 300 crore. Adipurush must now demonstrate its worth during the weekdays as well.

Adipurush’s total collection in India has now reached Rs 216 crore in three days. On Sunday, June 18, the film achieved a 61.75 percent occupancy in Hindi.

Om Raut wrote and directed Adipurush, a mythological narrative based on Valmiki’s Ramayana. The key characters are played by Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage have supporting parts. The film’s budget is believed to be Rs 600 crore.

Adipurush has received unfavourable feedback from both critics and audiences. Following outrage, the creators edited several dialogues.

Adipurush’s total box office collection in India after three days stands at 225-228 crores (all languages). This gigantic collection has now surpassed Pathaan’s 166.75 crores as the greatest opening weekend figure (first three days) of 2023. The film is now topping Pathaan by a massive 58.25-61.25 crores.
