Adipurush Box Office Day 1 Advance Booking: Kriti Sanon starrer trades over 80,000 tickets in Hindi 3D, releasing in 3 days

Adipurush has already sold tickets for 2.80 crores in the Hindi 3D version alone (excluding blocked seats).

New Delhi: Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush is only three days away from entering theatres throughout the world, and advance ticketing has already begun. According to early indications, the film is about to make a decent start at the box office, but it still lacks the ‘earth-shattering’ aspect that we had hoped for.

Om Raut directed the film, which also stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage. The behemoth, based on the Indian epic Ramayana, has a great nationwide appeal and is expected to draw audiences from all regions. In terms of ticket sales, the trend is positive, but it must accelerate dramatically in order to achieve a successful start.

Adipurush has already sold tickets for 2.80 crores in the Hindi 3D version alone (excluding blocked seats). This includes the selling of more than 80,000 tickets. So far, tickets worth 18 lakhs have been sold in the Hindi 2D edition. In terms of the Telugu version, 64 lakhs have been raised through advance ticket sales. So far, sales of other variants have been negligible. A total of 3.65 crores in gross advance bookings have been recorded.

Adipurush is on the right track so far, and with three days left, we should see advance bookings in the double digits. However, if the picture has to take that massive start, it lacks some speed.

Adipurush isn’t going to be released in IMAX theatres, according to rumours, as the film prepares for a June 16 release. Due of the premiere of DC’s superhero film, The Flash, on the same date, Warner Bros. Pictures has restricted IMAX screens in India well in advance. As a result, Adipurush will not be offered in Indian IMAX theatres. This is a huge letdown for those who have been waiting with bated breath.
