Adipurush: Why Ravan couldn’t touch Sita during ‘Haran’ scene, Manoj Muntashir explains (VIDEO)

Raising questions over Adipurush’s Sita Haran scene, many started comparing it to Ramanand Sagar’s classic Ramayana series in which Ravana abducted Sita by physically dragging her into his Vimana.

New Delhi: Fans are early waiting for the release of Prabhas and Kirti starrer Adipurush, which is going to hit the Big screens tomorrow.

A few days back, the makers of the mega movie took its hype to another level by dropping its final action trailer.

The trailer received an overwhelming response from the masses and garnered over 40 million views within a week of its release. However, a specific scene from the trailer was subjected to trolling by a number of folks.

Adipurush Sita Haran Controversy

In a scene from the 2:30 min long trailer, the movie’s antagonist Ravana is seen abducting Janki without even touching her once.

Raising questions over Adipurush’s Sita Haran scene, many started comparing it to Ramanand Sagar’s classic Ramayana series in which Ravana abducted Sita by physically dragging her into his Vimana (ancient flying vehicle).

Why Ravana never touched Sita

Meanwhile, the writer of Adipurush, Manoj Muntashir shared a video on his Twitter explaining the logic behind the movie’s Sita Haran scene.

In his video, Manoj explained that the curse from his daughter-in-law Rambha was the reason that kept Ravana from touching Sita.

Manoj told that Rambha, after becoming a victim of Ravana’s lust cursed him saying that if he ever touched another woman without her will, his head will break into several pieces.

Thus, Ravana kept his distance from Janki (Sita) due to the fear of Rambha’s curse coming true.

Sita in Ashok Vatika

Manoj further went on to say that Sita was able to stay safe in Ravana’s Ashok Vatika as she never compromised on her chastity by letting anyone’s shadow wander over her soul other than Lord Rama.

Adipurush gears up for its release

After witnessing some promising numbers of advance bookings prior to its release, the Prabhas starrer magnum opus is now all set for its grand scale release this Friday 16th of June.

It is expected to earn around 40-45 crore on its opening day.
