New Delhi: Jungkook, a member of the K-pop boy band BTS, has been named the ‘Pop Star of the Year’ by the Billboard staff in the United States.
The ‘Golden’ singer was named one of Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars of 2023, an esteemed honour. The 100 Best Songs of 2023: Staff Picks and Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars of 2023: Introduction & Honorable Mentions (Staff List) both recognised Jungkook’s single song ‘Seven’ featuring Latto for its respective 2023 rankings.

Billboard gave ‘Seven’ high marks, saying that the song’s UK garage-influenced groove and Latto’s powerful feature make it worthy of enthralling even the pickiest pop fans across the globe.
Many people take great satisfaction in Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars list, which is released annually, and fans were ecstatic to see Jungkook included. The song peaked at #3 on the UK’s official singles chart, the Top 100, and soared to #1 on the influential US Billboard Hot 100. In addition, as part of their 2023 Wrapped Year-End Summary campaign, ‘Seven’ took fourth place in Spotify’s Top 10 Songs Globally, highlighting the immense popularity and global appeal of the song among fans.
Additionally, the news source also highlighted Jungkook’s hit songs and discussed his influence on the music industry. His album Golden, single – Standing Next to You (remixed with Usher), 3D featuring Jack Harlow, and other songs were among them.
