New Delhi: In a major development after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, her doppelganger Mary Renolds announced her retirement from roles on camera out of respect. She is known for her many roles based on the Queen. However, she stated that she would continue to keep her outfits.

She described her relationship with the Queen’s family as very close and added that she felt like a part of the family. She was active in the entertainment industry for the last 34 years.

The 89-year-old Reynolds belongs to Essex. Reynolds said that she was first called the Queen’s lookalike when she was at the age of 17. However, she came to the limelight after she started appearing in movies to resemble the longest-serving late monarch.

She is famous for her roles in movies, including in the film Bullseye which came in 1990. In the film, she appeared with Roger Moore. Moreover, she is famous for her role in an episode of a series called Doctor, released in 1988. She played the role at the age of 55.

Talking to the media, she said, ”It is a change of an ear now, it’s all going to be very weird.” She termed her life being a lookalike of the Queen as ”incredible”.

Queen died on September 8

The Queen died on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96. The royal family announced her death online but did not reveal any cause of the death. However, it added that Queen died peacefully.

After her death, her eldest son Charles has taken the throne as King Charles III. On Saturday, Charles III was proclaimed the new monarch of England.
