After RRR, Kantara takes the global stage: United Nations to screen Rishab Shetty’s film

Kantara is a movie that captures the conflict between humans and nature. Rishab Shetty plays a hot-headed man, Shiva, who locks horns with a forest officer Murali who wants to save the forest from the superstitious rituals of villagers.

New Delhi: The Year 2022 was the year when South Indian cinema reached new heights of pan-India popularity. And 2023 would be the year when South Indian movies will shine on the global front.

Rishab Shetty’s action thriller is all set to be the voice of Indian Cinema for the global debate on environmental conservation.

Kantara will be screened at United Nations. The screening will be held in Pathe Balexert theater in Geneva on 17th March i.e today.

The Kannad director Rishab Shetty would also deliver a speech from the platform of the United Nations. As per reports, he will talk about Indian Cinema, leading the way for environmental and climate discourses.

Kantara, which collected a whopping amount of 450 crores at the Box Office, recently won 4 accolades at the Chandanavana Film Critics Academy Award. Director Rishab Shetty, who also plays the protagonist, won the best actor award. Kantara was also presented with the Best Film Critics Choice award. The other 2 awards were for best music and the best action.

To celebrate his success with fans, Rishab Shetty took to Instagram and shared many pictures. He thanked the Chandanavana awards and expressed his gratitude for the film team of Kantara.

Kantara, which was released in a unique way by releasing the sequel before the prequel, will return back to theaters in 2024. Rishab Shetty teased fans with Kantara’s prequel in February this year.
