New Delhi: In 2018, Akshay Kumar joined the cop universe created by Rohit Shetty, playing the character Veer Sooryavanshi. He made a grand entrance in the movie Simmba, where he had a cameo role alongside Ranveer Singh. This led to his own solo cop film, Sooryavanshi, which was released during Diwali in 2021. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the movie was a huge success both critically and commercially. Akshay Kumar & Rohit Shetty Reunites The cop universe is still expanding, with the next installment being Singham Again, led by Ajay Devgn. Sources said that Rohit Shetty is preparing to collaborate with Akshay Kumar once again, this time for a standalone action thriller. Sources close to the project have revealed that Akshay Kumar has agreed to star in a new action-thriller film. This film will be produced by Rohit Shetty and directed by Mohit Suri. The script has been discussed extensively by Rohit, Mohit, and Akshay, and it perfectly matches their creative vision. The movie promises to be an exciting and thrilling experience, with Akshay playing a unique role that audiences have never seen before. The film is expected to have a strong cast, as the story requires several important characters to move the plot forward. This movie will be one of the many projects that Rohit Shetty plans to produce in the future.
