New Delhi: Alia Bhatt, who is promoting her upcoming film ‘Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva’ made a comment about the trolls on social media. In an interview, she asked the audience to not watch her films if they do not like her. A similar remark was made by Kareena Kapoor Khan back in the year 2020.
While talking to the Mid-Day, Alia said, “I can’t keep defending myself verbally. And if you don’t like me, don’t watch me. I can’t help it. That’s something I can’t do (anything about).” When she was asked about the trolling she faced as a star kid, the actor said that she will prove her worth through her movies.
On the issue of nepotism, which has always been around Alia Bhatt since she entered the film industry, she exclaimed, “What the hell is this nonsense? Why is this happening for no reason?”
Alia Bhatt got trolled for her remarks and people asked everyone to boycott Brahmastra.

Even KRK took on Twitter to add to it.
Alia Bhatt is very angry on public and she said- Don’t watch my film if you don’t like me. Thank you madam. We will honour ur advise. So #BoycottBrahmastra will rock. pic.twitter.com/qCmNMGkHhW

“If you don’t like me, don’t watch me” says Alia Bhatt during a promotion for her movie ‘Brahmastra.’ Audiences decide what they will see. They don’t need to be told. Not a shred of humility. Just sheer arrogance. One of the many reasons this industry is being boycotted.

The anger, the arrogance, the delusion of being special one – all rolled in one. @aliaa08 promotes #Brahmastra exactly how another nepo-kid #KareenaKapoorKhan promoted #LaalSinghChaddha https://t.co/ZPY69vUAOh

While there were some people who came in her support.

This is pure hate. Other than Alia, no other pregnant actress had experienced bullying on social media before, Despite the fact that being pregnant, she is promoting her films, working & has to deal trolls everyday. Nobody deserves that much hate. Leave her haters#AliaBhatt pic.twitter.com/CQC32fSR5t
