Amritsar: Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh shot at, days after joining BJP

New Delhi: Popular actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh had recently joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), ahead of Punjab Assembly Polls 2022.

Now as per recent news reports, Sukh was fired at by two unidentified men on a motorbike in Amritsar, this past Saturday. The unfortunate incident took place at around 8:30 PM in the evening, when Sukh was on his way back to his residence.

Also, the early suggests that the attack take place when Santokh Singh’s security parked the car at a side of the road for a toilet break. Sources close to Sukh revealed that while he was sitting on the driver’s seat, two men on a bike came close to him. Just as Sukh rolled down his car windows to identify the persons, they opened fire open him.

His security tried to stop the accused by throwing bricks at them, though the culprit managed to fled  from the seen. However, Santokh Singh escaped unhurt from the firing.

The police has said that the matter seems suspicious and an investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Sukh has alleged that police still haven’t registered a case in the matter even when the instance was timely reported with them.

Station House Officer of Jandiala Guru police station, Harpreet Singh, told the media that police have recovered four empty bullet shells for the spot.
