New Delhi: The film Anatomy of a Fall, directed by Justine Triet, debuted at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and went on to win the Palm Dog Award and the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top honour.
The movie has been well-received by critics and audiences alike, earning two Golden Globes, five Oscar nominations, and a BAFTA.
Many nations, including France, had the pleasure of seeing the film in theatres. The film premiered in Indian theatres on February 2, 2024, and thereafter it is now ready to be available on over-the-top services.
Plot
A blind boy, who is eleven years old, discovers his father’s dead body, leading his mother to face murder charges in the psychological thriller Anatomy of a Fall. The cops attempt to piece together what occurred that tragic day in the mountains as they conduct their investigation.
At first glance, the narrative notion seems quite interesting. Since there were no other eyewitnesses that day in the mountains, the police began accusing the woman. What followed was a torturous and tense court drama that ultimately led to the downfall of her reputation and her marriage.
What follows, however, is a legal and investigative tale that subtly examines the intricacies of a failing marriage while also providing societal criticism and psychological analysis.

Beginning on March 22, 2024, Hulu and Disney Plus Hotstar will begin offering streaming services for the award-winning crime thriller – Anatomy of a Fall.

Antoine Reinartz, Jehnny Beth, Milo Machado-Graner, Swann Arlaud, Saadia Bentaïeb, Anne Rotger, Camille Rutherford, Sophie Fillières, and Sandra Hüller are among the star-studded actors featured in the film.
Written by Arthur Harani and co-written by Justine Triet, the film was also directed by Triet. Production companies Les Films Pelléas and Les Films de Pierre are behind it, with Marie-Ange Luciani and David Thrion serving as producers. The film’s cinematographer was Simon Beaufils, and its editor was Laurent Sénéchal.

With a total of $32.6 million, Anatomy of a Fall was a box office smash, earning $5.1 million in the US. More than 379 French theatres hosted the film’s premiere, making it the third French Palme d’Or winner to surpass one million admissions in France.
