New Delhi: The Tamil thriller film Aneethi, directed by Vasanthabalan and written in collaboration with S.K. Jeeva, is now going on. Under the brand of Urban Boyz Studios, the film was produced by M. Krishna Kumar, M. Murugan Gnanavel, and V. Varadharajan Manickam. Following its theatrical debut on July 21, 2023, the much-anticipated Tamil thriller Aneethi starring Arjun Das and Dushara Vijayan is now ready for distribution on the OTT Platform.

Plot
Food delivery boy Thirumeni has a physical problem that makes him consider killing people when he is mistreated. He falls in love with the housekeeper, Subbu. However, things take a dramatic turn as a series of unforeseen occurrences occur, hurling them into a world of chaos. Their happy life is cut short when they get involved in the investigation of an old woman’s suspicious death.
Review
The director’s frustration with the world as it is appearing to have sparked his most recent picture, Aneethi. The storyline is solid and uncomplicated as a whole. Although initially engaging, the film eventually falls into the traps typical of serial killer movies and becomes predictable. The director’s previous thrillers have a lot of similarities with this one.
In the film, neither the professional problem that becomes a personal one nor its resolution seem as natural as they did in the director’s earlier works. But the narrative and execution of Aneethi have also improved in some cases, over the director’s last film, making it a well-rounded and fascinating piece of work.
Arjun Das and his co-stars provide a strong performance, which is the film’s biggest plus.
Although it has the correct intentions and has an excellent performance by Arjun Das, overall, Aneethi is not so effective film to convey several points of view.
