Animal Box Office Collection Day 6: Ranbir Kapoor-starrer enters the Rs 500 crore club globally; beats Sanju

With barely over a week under its belt, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga–directed film has now surpassed Rs 500 crore in international box office receipts, marking yet another impressive milestone.

New Delhi: Since its worldwide premiere on December 1, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has taken a toll at the box office. It has been six days since the film’s theatrical premiere, but the unstoppable success of Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur has not stopped it from breaking several box office records.

With barely over a week under its belt, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga–directed film has now surpassed Rs 500 crore in international box office receipts, marking yet another impressive milestone.

According to Sacnilk Entertainment, Animal joins Pathaan, Gadar 2, and Jawan as the fourth Bollywood film to do this. According to Sacnilk, the action film made an impressive 481 crores globally in the first five days. This number is projected to rise to over 525 crores by the end of the day since the sixth day’s collecting has already surpassed 500 crores gross.

There have been daily records in North America and Australia, with the latter region seeing particularly large margins. After surpassing AUD 3 million yesterday, Animal is rapidly approaching the title of highest-grossing Indian picture in Australia.

Animal is expected to make more than $30 million, maybe even $35 million, putting it third most behind Pathaan and Jawan, both of which grossed about $50 million.

As of this writing, the film has earned Rs 312.96 crore at the Indian box office. Early projections put Animal’s December 6 earnings at approximately 30 crore rupees.

The first day of Animal’s run at the box office brought in Rs 63.80 crore. The second day of the film’s run brought in Rs 66.27 crore, while the third day saw the highest earnings of the run, at Rs 71.46 crore. Day 4 brought in Rs 43.96 crore, while day 5 brought in Rs 37.47 crore. This brings the total gross of the film to an astounding Rs 312.96 crore.

Following Jawan, Pathaan, and Gadar 2, Animal has become the year’s fourth most popular Bollywood film. The two highest-grossing films starring Shah Rukh Khan in India were Jawan (Rs 643.87 crore) and Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore). Ranked at 3 with Rs 525.45 crore, Gadar 2 starred Sunny Deol.

With its new record-breaking global gross of 500 crore rupees, Animal becomes the second Ranbir Kapoor film to achieve this feat and has surpassed Sanju.
